A native of Alexandria, Aida Nour is a world-renowned bellydancer and teacher. She began her dance career as a member of the Alexandria Troupe, touring extensively while developing her expertise in Egyptian folklore and solo dancing. Upon moving to Cairo, Aida experienced a rapid ascent to stardom. She joined the famous Reda Troupe with whom she performed for many years, and soon moved on to stardom as a solo dancer and featured performer at Cairo's most prestigious Hotels and Nightclubs. The best stages were graced with her dazzling presence, and she became a favourite of Egyptian audiences.
Aida currently works as a leading Costumier for dancers, and as a teacher. Yasmina Ramzy studied extensively with Aida, and considers her one of her most influential teachers. Yasmina is not alone in this assessment- Aida is beloved by many students. In response to great demand, Aida travels the world offering workshops and classes to eager students. It is a rare and special treat to see Aida perform.
