Arabesque Academy Student Troupe
Arabesque Academy opened its doors 26 years ago in August 1987. Many artistic ventures have been inspired since then
such as Rakisaat Arabesque, Yasmina Dance Troupe , El Amel Troupe, Oasis Troupe, Grupo Amazon, Arabesque Dance Company, Arabesque Orchestra, Righteous Rogues,
Allspice and Earthshakers, Arabesque Drummers and the Bellydance Dumbek Brigade. In all these years there has never been
an official school troupe representing the dance students...until now.
The Arabesque Academy Student Troupe directed by Yasmina Ramzy, will represent high quality creative dance interpretation in Bellydance, a variety of Middle East Folklores and Fusion styles. The troupe will meet to train and rehearse once a week at a regular time beginning October 2013. AAST will be presented regularly at various events and venues to promote the Academy's vision to the general public.

Criteria needed for the AAST:
- excellent Arabesque Academy technique - Intermediate 2 level
- stage presence
- ability to learn and retain choreography given quickly
- good spacial and directional awareness
- all ages, sizes, ethnicity and sexes are welcome
Orientation Session:
Come and learn about the artistic vision of AAST and find out what you personally need to be able to pass the audition or are you are already perfect for the troupe.
